On the 5.7 Hemi, a tick can be a broken exhaust manifold bolt, which is common and cheaper, or a failed lifter roller wiping the camshaft, especially on engines with MDS cylinder deactivation. We find out which before recommending a repair.
Hemi trucks and SUVs are known for snapped manifold bolts. The tick is loudest on a cold start and quiets once the engine warms.
The Totally Integrated Power Module in many 2007 to 2016 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles can cause no-starts, fuel pump problems and random electrical faults.
The plastic oil filter housing and cooler on the 3.6 V6 cracks and leaks oil or coolant.
Refrigerant leaks, evaporators and blend door actuators are the usual causes in Ram trucks and Dodge SUVs.
